Peter McGlinchey
I’ve been a professional artist from 1985, starting out as a painter, but over the last decade have been more concerned with constructing sculptural works using found materials. I much prefer the “hands on approach” of sculpture, to the somewhat limited two dimensional process of painting. I like to be able to physical feel my way through a work. My pallet is not limited because nature always seems to through up an unexhaustable supply of weather worn texture and colour. Maybe I look at things a little bit different to most.
I have had over 70 solo and group exhibitions. My work is represented in pupils, corporate and private collections throughout Australia and overseas, and I am a recipient of several major art awards
